Life as a Venturer Scout is about making your own challenges. Scaling a 30m rock-face or abseiling into caves may frighten most people, but Venturers face it head-on.

You’ll work in units with other Venturers and Adult Leaders who act as mentors. You’re given the freedom to choose your own activities, because we know that passion drives achievement.

The Scout Promise

There are two versions of the Australian Scout Promise. Individuals may select which version they wish to make.

Version 1

On my honour, I promise
To do my best,
To be true to my spiritual beliefs,
To contribute to my community and our world,
To help other people,
And to live by the Scout Law.

Version 2

On my honour
I promise that I will do my best
To do my duty to my God, and
To the King of Australia,
To help other people,

Award Scheme

King's Scout Award

The highest achievement for Venturers. It requires setting goals, planning progress, and maintaining determination to complete challenging tasks, often recognized on school exit certificates.
