Conveniently located just a short walk from the Route 86 tram or route 566/902 bus, the hall is also close to Bundoora Park Farm, Mt Cooper Lookout, and the Gresswell Forest Wildlife Reserve, making it an excellent choice for both local and visiting groups.
The hall is available for casual one‑off bookings or longer‑term regular hire, and is well suited to activities such as dance and fitness classes, martial arts, training sessions, workshops, meetings, and similar group uses.
Spacious Hall
Approximately 240m² (13m x 18.5m) with 4m high ceilings, perfect for movement-based activities.
Full Kitchen
Equipped with two ovens, dishwasher, microwave, fridge/freezer, and electric urn.
Capacity
Comfortably seats 100 people or accommodates up to 200 standing. Trestle tables and chairs included.
Modern Comfort
Reverse-cycle air conditioning, unisex and ambulant toilets, and off-street parking for 32 vehicles.
Availability
Hall hire is available when the venue is not in use by the Bundoora Scout Group, Handfield Rover Unit, or existing long‑term hires. Typical availability includes:
- Weekdays during standard business hours
- Weekends (various times)
- School Holidays (extended availability)
Conditions of Hire
[!IMPORTANT] Prohibited Events: The hall may not be used for 18th or 21st birthday celebrations, schoolies events, commercial or retail activities, publicly advertised partisan political events, gambling, or any activity involving the consumption of alcohol.
[!NOTE] Youth Birthdays: Birthday parties for older children or teenagers are only permitted where the young person is a current member of Scouts Victoria. Such functions must be supervised by responsible adults at all times.
[!TIP] Scouting Compliance: The proposed use must not interfere with Scouting activities and must comply with Scouts Victoria policies and Banyule Council lease conditions.
