Earning Community Badges on Kangaroo Island
During our trip to Kangaroo Island, our Venturers took the opportunity to give back to the local community and support wildlife conservation.
The team delivered a batch of handmade pouches to the Kangala Wildlife Rescue. These pouches, which the Venturers spent many hours sewing before the trip, are used to care for orphaned and injured joeys and other small animals.
Delivering the pouches was a rewarding experience. The staff at Kangala were incredibly grateful, and the Venturers even got the chance to hold some of the adorable animals currently in care.
Unfortunately, Dani couldn’t be with us for the delivery, but her hard work in preparing the pouches was a big part of this achievement.
Congratulations to all four Venturers on completing this project and earning their Community Badge! Your hard work and dedication to helping others is a great example of the Scout Spirit.
Stay tuned for more updates from the road!
