1st Bundoora's 1978 annual meeting and a Phillip Island weekend

Peter Cornwallis of Greenwood Drive, Bundoora, was elected president of the 1st Bundoora Scout Group committee at the annual meeting held at the Telfer Reserve Scout Centre on 2 March. Ray Wilton became vice-president, Nance Perri secretary, Joy Grace assistant secretary and David Corande treasurer. Robert Scott handled publicity, Chris Tseglakoff the fundraising portfolio and David Mummery represented the auxiliary. Jenny Watson and Delia Francis represented Diamond Valley District.

Group Leader Bob Francis presented supporters badges to three people. Ian Hatton received his badge for transporting equipment over many years. Jim Burr and his wife Gladys received badges for helping with Venturer and other Scouting activities. Their son Phillip had gained his Queen’s Scout badge the previous year.

Twenty Cub Pack members spent a weekend at Phillip Island from 3 to 5 March, visiting the penguin parade and the Nobbies. Leaders Norm Stephens, Margaret Stephens, Maria Perri and Tim Finnigan supervised the weekend.
