Recognising outstanding service to Scouting
On World Scout Day, 1 August 2026, Scouts Australia announced that Hamish had received the Meritorious Service Award.
Hamish has given years of committed service to Bundoora Scout Group. As our Scout Leader, he helps young people build skills, take on responsibility, and tackle adventures together. His knowledge, energy, and practical support have shaped weekly programs, camps, and major expeditions.
The Meritorious Service Award recognises sustained service to Scouting beyond what the recipient’s role would normally require. This award reflects the time and care Hamish gives to our youth members, fellow leaders, and the wider Group.
