Outdoor Adventure Skills are the link between adventurous activities and the youth program. They enable youth members of all ages to access the basic skills for a range of activities, and progress through to high skill levels across nine broad activity areas.

Special Interest Areas

Special Interest Areas encourage Rover Scouts to try new things and pursue existing interests. Rover Scouts set their own goals in one of the six Special Interest Areas, enabling them to design a project that interests and challenges them personally.

Adventurous Journey

The Adventurous Journey is a key part of your Milestone 3 and Peak Award in the Rovers section. It’s your chance to put your outdoor and leadership skills into action by planning and leading a real expedition - usually something like a bushwalk, paddle trip, or cycling journey over multiple days.
