The Stage 1 Core Requirement
To achieve your Peak Award, you are required to reach at least Stage 1 in all three core Outdoor Adventure Skills: Bushcraft, Bushwalking, and Camping.
Beyond Stage 1, you will focus on specializing in areas of your choosing, eventually leading activities and mentoring younger Scouts in these disciplines.

Stages 1-9Bushwalking
Navigation, route planning, and leading expeditions through diverse terrain.
Bushcraft
Pioneering, survival skills, fire lighting, and minimal impact practices.
Camping
Campcraft, hygiene, cooking, and shelter management in remote environments.
Paddling
Canoeing, kayaking, and sea kayaking across flatwater and whitewater.
Vertical
Abseiling, rock climbing, and caving techniques and safety systems.
Boating
Sailing and powerboating, including navigation and seamanship.
Cycling
Mountain biking and cycle touring, including maintenance and route planning.
Alpine
Cross-country skiing, downhill skiing, snowboarding, and snow survival.
Snorkeling
Snorkeling and SCUBA diving skills, marine environments, and safety.
